Henry Onyekuru, has expressed his disappointment at his club, Anderlecht’s 3-1 home defeat to Sporting Charleroi in the Belgian first division on Sunday, , but is thankful to God for scoring a goal, ‎Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Onyekuru scored what was just a consolation goal eight minutes from time, and the game ended 3-1 in favour of Charleroi.

The goal was Onyekuru’s ninth after 16 league appearances since joining Anderlecht on loan from Everton.

Reacting to the loss, Onyekuru expressed his disappointment for the loss.

He however stated that their focus is now on the next game.

“Not happy about the result, but I thank God for the goal and can’t wait for the next game to go again!,” Onyekuru wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
