The President, Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Hassan, has said that people who put into action their thoughts, ideas and dreams are improving living standards in the country.

He said this during the public presentation of two of his books, Time and life perspectives and Before my obituary, in Lagos.

The ILAN is a sector under the insurance industry, responsible for investigating, adjusting and determining the claims to be paid to the insured.

Stakeholders from the insurance industry and other sectors were present at the event.

He said, “For example, let us cast our minds back to the evolution of road transportation system: how it started with the carrying of the nobles on the shoulders of able bodied men, the horse-drawn cart, the car, the truck, and now to driverless car.

“All these are products of some people’s thoughts, ideas and dreams which they have manifested by taking action not minding the inconvenience. I know that we all have the potential to affect our society positively, let us therefore act without further delay.”

He said that the two books were opened to discussion, “which could lead to a better understanding of the messages and open the door to other ideas, which perhaps may lead to the writing of another book.”
